I found out about this place through ixoutofxiii by... a funny story with character journals clashing, actually. Joined mostly so I could torture the resident Gig here~ >3 (because SN RPers are UBER rare D: )

As for myself, I been RPing for a long time(Al from Fullmetal Alchemist and Lavi from D. Gray-Man being my two primary characters at the moment, more or less... even though my Lavi is an epic fail. And also a Gig RPer too), although still kind of new as to how everything works here. I'm also helping out in co-moding a newer RP for a friend (netherworld_rp), which I highly recommend to anyone who really likes Nippon Ichi to check it out. Although you can still join even if you're not familiar with it.

We had a storm roll in last night, resulting in me shutting down my computer. When I got up around 9 this morning, I was greeted with a very loud rumble, but then it was quiet for a time. WHOA. And lightning just struck. Looks like I better be rolling out NOW! o_O

Why hallo thar Kunpuu~

Zen here with my new character--just in time for Slayers REVOLUTION, it's the beautiful, young, sorcery genius Lina Inverse (as she calls herself). Since REVOLUTION is only just starting, she's post-TRY.

A little about Lina: She is a powerful sorceress and could very well destroy the world if she were so inclined...but luckily she has a bit of a conscience. :P Her favourite hobby is beating up bandits and stealing their treasures, as well as eating enough food in one meal to feed an army.

She doesn't like it when you talk about her small boobs. 8D Also, she can't use her magic at a certain time every month, but she doesn't like to talk about that, either. Have fun, children! ^^

In what has been a very long time, I've finally worked on some icons, motivated by the first episode of Slayers Revolution. These are all from the opening theme. There will be more forthcoming as I screencap the episode, get about 10 minutes of sleep, etc. ^_~

To people who have cosplayed Amelia wil tesla seyruun in the past. What pattern did you use for her outfit? And any tips and tricks on how to make her jewels? Amelia is my favorite character next to Zelgadis and I want to cosplay Amelia for Animazement 09 to celebrate the release of Slayers Revoluton, and would like to get a very early start at what I need to gather and look for :3 So I figured that this would be the best place to ask. Any ideas you can throw out at me will be extremly helpful. Thanks much in advanced ^_^

First off, yes, I did watch the first episode of Slayers Revolution earlier. Already people seem to be coming out of the woodwork because of it. I logged on earlier to ask a local friend what was happening tonight only to be jumped IMed by some random person asking if I had any Slayers Revolution news. How they found me, I don't know, but as soon as I linked them where they needed to go, they fell silent.

Weird...

Anyway, a thunder storm rolled overhead soon after, so I shut down my computer and headed upstairs. A short time later my mom spotted a deer (yes, a female deer) resting in the front orchard, so she fetched her camera and trekked outside to take pictures, while I watched through the front window. How I wish I'd gotten a shot of the deer once my mom was done taking pictures! She'd been acting pretty cool during the shooting session, content to chew her cud in peace, but afterward she shot my mom a look (after my mom had turned away, so she missed it) as if to say, "What in the HECK were you doing?" She then spied me watching her from inside and stared back for a moment. The opportunity too good to pass up, I ran to fetch my own camera.



I was standing on the porch to take this, since I didn't want to startle the deer more than necessary. Her ears were back since my mom was still standing nearby.



The deer was finally unsettled enough with the attention from my mom that she stood and started to amble off, but she stopped for a long scratch. I thought it looked pretty cool. It would have been nice from another angle to use as a drawing reference.



The deer made the mistake of nibbling on my mom's plants, so she shooed the deer over the fence and into our field, only to find...another deer! (We think this one was a young buck. They might possibly be the twin fawns we had the other year.) I'll leave you to find the second deer in the photo.

And no, still no sign of the new baby deer. I sure hope this wasn't the mother.

At this point, I think I'm just building on to the hype. xD YEAH! REVOLUTION!

"You haven't watched it yet?" Mike asked me incrediously over IM.

"It" was the first episode of Slayers Revolution, of which I actually downloaded twice - one regular quality and another is a high-definition one. Mike had done the very sweet boyfriend thing of narrating the episode to me as best he could while watching it on Keyhole (there isn't a Mac version of it, pooh!) while I was at work. After work, I headed to visit Icka, Sarah, and Xan. While a near 13-month-old is definitely a determent from watching the episode right off the bat, there was another reason.

Slayers is one of the rare fandoms that actually changed my life. Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, my original fandom, was there for me during my parents' divorce and help shape me into the woman I am now and set me on the career path I'm currently on. Sailor Moon gave me Stef, Julia, and other very close friends. Slayers led me to Diane, Isa, Joanne, Alison, Melissa, and a host of other people - but most importantly, Mike. Not to mention that I adore the series to bits and this was a day I honestly thought would never happen.

So, I saved it until I was home alone and could do happy squeeing in private before squeeing with the rest of the fandom.

The North American anime distributor FUNimation Entertainment has announced that it has set up a branded channel on the YouTube video-sharing website for trailers, promotional videos, and eventually full episodes of Funimation's titles. Funimation plans to add full episodes of Blue Gender, Slayers, Peach Girl, Mushi-Shi, Kiddy Grade, and other titles every week starting this month. A number of Japanese companies have set up similar channels on YouTube and other websites, but Funimation says its effort is the first such channel by an American anime company.

I assume they mean episodes from the first, second, and third seasons. I would imagine they really want to promote the original series with the new one starting~

So... after watching the first episode of REVOLUTION and absorbing other known information about it, I realized we have quite a few uncertainties ahead of us.

1. QP wrote that Megumi Hayashibara said the series will be 13 episodes. However, we had previously heard that it would be split into two 13-episode arcs. That gives us the usual 26 episodes. This number makes a lot more sense than 13 given the alphabetical order of the episode titles. The question is, will the two arcs be connected?

2. Who is/are the main villain(s)? The opening and ending didn't give us any new characters except the minor characters-of-the-day from the novels. I think it's pretty safe to say they aren't the main threat. Judging by the opening/ending alone our only possibilities right now are Xelloss/Xellass and Pocota. I don't think Pocota is a bad guy, but we still don't know what happens when he undoes his zipper. In any case promotional material calls him a juujin (beast person), not a mazoku. I just wonder what Xelloss wants with Lina this time. Remember in NEXT and TRY he was following her essentially for the purpose of using her.

3. Episode 17. Gourry/other male crossdressing Y/N? If they break this tradition I will be severely disappointed. SEVERELY. XO

4. If the series is supposed to be based on the novels that weren't covered, where's Dynast and Sherra? Luke and Millina? Milgazia and Memphis?

5. Why oh why did that initial cast listing for the first episode list Rezo?

6. Are we done with Wizer and Kuppy?

Any thoughts? Consider this our speculation thread.

By the way, Slayers NET has been updated to include REVOLUTION information.

And is there anywhere we can look to get episode titles in advance? I know with Pocket Monsters, another TV Tokyo show, the titles get officially announced in magazines and what not about a month in advance.
